People tell me I should look ahead, close the book on the past, forget what used to be and focus on what’s next.
But I need to remember your face, your smile, your smell.

I have to remember the last time we made love by moon light,
the last time we were at the sea, the last time you said “I love you”.
I will always remember the day we met, the day you made me your wife, and the day you left me.

You can do both, you can both remember, and move on. The day you two met, the day you married, were both wonderful memories before the day he left. Nothing about those two memories needs to change. Be happy that your past has many joyous memories. There are many good things about not having to run from your past. There is also a different future possible for you, if you do not run from that either.

I know that right now time is paralyzed, and its passing over you. All you want to do is remember him but know that this pain will numb after awhile. Hold on, life is a rollercoaster, and sometimes it gets scary. By the way your very talented, and its very nice to read your experiences, and feelings.

I’m sending you mental hugs – I expect I’m not the only one. As pm1 says – the roller coaster is really scary right now but one day in the not too distant future that little cart will roll to a stop on the level.

I live in San Pedro. Our claim to fame is the Port of Los Angeles. The ocean is my heart, but the desert is my soul. I like to camp and hike in Anza Borrego and Joshua Tree. Hopefully our paths will cross one day soon.

I know its been long since you’ve replied but I just wanted to let you know that I am so proud of you and will always be here to talk to you. Listen to Taylor Swift she’s kinda really evolved in that situation and so has her music. Helps me a lot. Old stuff is for angry and crushes but latest album is for looking back and accepting and reminiscing. So happy for you. Have a lovely day, and stay positive, keeping your hopes up. You never know what tomorrow brings 🙂
